Joel Newman - President
Joel has more than three decades of diverse executive experience in agribusiness, with United Cooperative Farmers, Maple Leaf Foods and Agway. In 2005, Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns appointed Joel to the Agricultural Trade Advisory Committee for Grains, Feed and Oilseeds. He holds a bachelor's degree in animal science from West Virginia University and an MBA in finance and marketing from Syracuse University.
Richard Sellers – Secretary
Richard has earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Memphis and a master's degree in animal science from the University of Arkansas. He is a registered as professional animal scientist with the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS).
Andrew Timmins – Treasurer
Andy has 23 years of finance, accounting and treasury experience, having worked at several financial firms in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He received his economics and accounting degrees from the University of Maryland.
Jim Sullivan, PhD – Executive Director
Dr. Sullivan is a trained scientist and business leader, with over 25 years of experience identifying market opportunities and implementing ambitious strategies that met or exceeded corporate objectives at International Ingredient Corporation, serving as President for 18 years. Prior to that, he spent 11 years with Hubbard Milling Company. He received his Bachelor of Animal Science at the University of Kentucky and his master’s and doctorate degrees in animal nutrition at the University of Illinois, Urbana. Dr. Sullivan is a former Chairman of the American Feed Industry Association.
Leanna Nail – IFEEDER Administrator
Leanna joined AFIA in 2000 as AFIA’s Director of Administration and Staff Liaison for the Liquid Feed Committee. Prior to joining AFIA, Leanna was the accounting office manager for a regional chain of retail stores. She attended Drury College in Springfield, Missouri. |
